Ryan Reynolds Injured in a Hit-and-Run Accident in Vancouver

Actor Ryan Reynolds was hit by a car in Vancouver last Friday where he was shooting scenes for his upcoming superhero movie, "Deadpool."

The Canadian actor was struck by a car as he was walking through the underground parking garage of his hotel April 10. The driver, who was reported to be a member of the paparazzi, fled the scene after the incident.

Reynolds, 38, was injured but pronounced in stable condition, Vancouver police told Fox News. Authorities are currently investigating Rik Fedcyk, the 52-year-old photographer responsible for the accident, revealing Reynolds and the man were involved in a confrontation earlier before the incident occurred.

Fedcyk, a resident of Richmond, British Columbia, was arrested and remained in police custody until Monday, when he was released on the condition he stay out of Vancouver.

There were no substantial injuries on Reynolds part apart from a sore knee and back, and he was cleared to return to work the following day. The Vancouver police have recommended that the actor file charges of intimidation against Fedcyk, who was identified after police pulled security video on the hit-and-run incident.

Investigating authorities, who seized the suspect's car, are also considering Criminal Code and Motor Vehicle Act charges, as well as hit-and-run, and failure to remain at the scene of the crime.

Reynolds, who is currently in his hometown of Vancouver to film Marvel's superhero film, "Deadpool," was well enough to joke on his Twitter feed after the incident. A CBC Vancouver correspondent asked him via Twitter how he was doing, and requested for a return call with his statement.

Reynolds responded with a tweet saying he promised to call if CBC put "The Beachcombers," a Canadian television comedy-drama series canceled in 1990 after 18 years, back on the air.

No information has yet been released on whether Reynolds will file charges against Fedcyk, who has been found to have been involved in a number of run-ins with other celebrities, including Pamela Anderson, Denise Richards, and Kellan Lutz. Lutz was also previously victim of a 2010 hit-and-run by Fedcyk.
