Kristen Saban, daughter of University of Alabama football coach Nick Saban, has refuted claims that she viciously attacked her sorority sister, Sarah Grimes. Saban's attorney filed papers to dismiss the case against her.

Grimes alleged that Saban brutally beat her after an altercation over a boy and has sought over $10,000 in damages. The two sorority sisters' fight turned violent rather quickly after they began arguing, though Saban's lawyer has stated he believes Grimes' injuries were actually the result of a car accident at the same time.

The incident happened in August of 2010, back when "Saban and Grimes were friends and sorority sisters," court documents filed by Stephen Strickland state. The two engaged in a drinking game known as "power hour" and began to argue over a young man.

Sarah then left the room and went to her own bedroom to check Facebook, where she noticed a message posted by Kristen. "No one likes Sarah! Yayyyy!" it read, which instantly angered Sarah. She told a friend about the message, and that friend cautioned Sarah not to confront Kristen "because of her known violent nature and previous assault on others," the documents state.

"Sarah said to Courtney (her friend), 'Well, if she touches me, I'll kill her.'" Then the two engaged in a very physical altercation that included hair pulling, bashing of heads into the wall, and the calling of police.

Two girls intervened to break up the argument and noted, "Sarah saw a large amount of blood on the wooden floor. She felt her nose and realized that the blood was coming from it."

Now Sarah has filed suit, claiming that she required serious medical attention for her injuries.

"As a result of the beating and the head injuries Sarah sustained by Kristen, Sarah has had repeated night terrors, anxiety, physical trembling, fears from dying from brain injuries, trouble sleeping, and intrusive recollections of the event," the suit said.

Both girls still attend the University of Alabama but are kept away from one another. Police never charged Saban with any crime because Grimes refused to prosecute.
