The Wallet was left out of the Verizon version due to a special request made by the carrier. Verizon is reportedly working on creating its own payment platform.

Sprint customers purchasing the Galaxy Nexus will be able to take advantage of the company's "Everything Data Plan" when the device is released.

The Galaxy Nexus is currently available on Verizon in the U.S. for $299 with a new 2-year agreement.

The device features a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED display that is 1280 x 720 pixels, 16GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM for increased speed, a dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU, a 5-megapixel rear camera, NFC (near-field communications), and 4G LTE connectivity.

The Verge called it the "greatest Android device to be released thus far."

Samsung and Google unveiled the Galaxy Nexus back in October of last year at the Mobile Unpacked event where Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich also made its debut.

The device combines the best of Samsung with the best of Google who have chosen to use the device as the flagship smartphone for its newest software.

It debuted overseas before coming to the U.S. at the end of last year and should gain much more popularity once it hits Sprint.

There is no word on the Galaxy Nexus coming to AT&T or T-Mobile, the other major carriers located in the U.S.
