Samsung Galaxy Nexus Release Date: Nov. 17 Launch for the UK (VIDEO)

Korean cellphone maker Samsung has finally confirmed that the launch date for its Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone will be Nov. 17 in the U.K.

No prices for the U.K. region have been announced yet, but Amazon is reportedly offering the 16GB SIM-free device for £550.

This smartphone is notable for being one of the first devices to come pre-loaded with Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich.

The Galaxy Nexus' features also include a 4.65in Super AMOLED HD screen with 1280x800 resolution, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. A 16GB and 32GB version of Samsung's smartphone will both be available to customers.

Samsung's smartphone also runs on a 1,750 mAh battery.

The device is also outfitted with a front facing 1.3M camera and a rear facing 5MP camera with LED Flash, zero shutter lag and full HD recording capabilities.

The Near Field Communication (NFC), HSPA+ and LTE connectivity capabilities of the Galaxy Nexus allows users to share content with others. The smartphone's face unlock feature lets users lock and unlock their phone through the camera.

Samsung's Galaxy Nexus made its grand debut on Oct. 19 in Hong Kong.

U.S. and Asian regions will be getting the Galaxy Nexus sometime in November. Verizon Wireless will launch and sell the device at its retail stores for the U.S.

Samsung is also looking to launch its Galaxy Note hybrid smartphone tablet device on Nov. 2 for the U.K.

The Galaxy Note has a 5.3-inch WXGA Super AMOLED screen with 1280x800 resolution and will be powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core processor.
