Samsung Galaxy Note 4 vs. Apple iPhone 6 Plus: Which Phablet is Better?

Samsung and Apple has one of the most well-known and controversial rivalries and both companies have always been trying to outdo each other, especially with their flagship phone series. Samsung is still to release the latest in their phablets, the Galaxy Note 4 but Apple has already released the latest in their smartphone series, the iPhone 6 Plus.

Both devices are fairly big, with the Galaxy Note 4 clearly in the area of the phablets while the iPhone 6 Plus falls a bit short.

The Galaxy Note 4 has a super AMOLED 5.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 (QHD resolution). The high definition screen of the Note 4 was brought about by the release of LG's G3 smartphone which had a similar QHD resolution screen.

The iPhone 6 Plus on the other hand has an IPS LCD 5.5-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (Full HD resolution). While the iPhone 6's resolution is one bar lower than the Note 4's it is one of the better LCD screens out there with the Retina display.

In terms of specs, the Note 4 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core 2.7GHz Krait 450 processor and an Adreno 420 graphics processor. It has 32GB of internal storage with microSD support of up to 128GB and 3GB of RAM.

The iPhone 6 Plus on the other hand has the newer 64-bit A8 chipset with a dual-core 1.4GHz processor and a PowerVR GX6450 graphics processor. It has three internal storage variants -- the 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB -- with no expandable memory support. Apple has also opted to stick with their 1GB of RAM.
