The Android 4.1, JellyBean update for the Samsung Galaxy S2 will begin rolling out in November.

This information was derived from Samsung Sweden, who recently released a list that shows when the company will roll out the update for the GT-I9100 model of the device.

This does not mean that all S2 users will receive the update during the same month. However, it does indicate that many users of the device should get it shortly after the roll out begins.

Both the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S 4G will be receiving the Android 4.1, JellyBean update on Sprint, according to an announcement made by the carrier.

Sprint is issuing the update OTA (over-the-air) and it should be available to customers who own one of these smartphones now.

Once a Nexus S 4G or Galaxy Nexus on Sprint is eligible for the update, it will automatically download it, and when it is complete the user will be prompted to install it. This installation should only take a few minutes and it will disable the device during the process. Once it is finished, the smartphone will be ready to use again.

JellyBean will bring the exciting Google Search feature to the Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus that will provide the owner with a more natural Voice Search. Google can now speak back to the user delivering a clear and precise response to any of their questions. The new software also greatly improves the interface from Ice Cream Sandwich.

Notifications on these two devices will now become expandable, with JellyBean allowing users to take action directly from the notifications shade.

JellyBean also benefits the blind bringing the new "Gesture Mode" to handsets that allows them to reliably navigate the UI using touch and swipe gestures in combination with speech output. The feature adds accessibility to plugin support for external Braille input and output devices with Bluetooth and USB.
