The Samsung Galaxy S4 release date was confirmed for April in a recent report.

PhoneArena recently posted two photos of an internal office raffle document at a New Zealand mobile retailer which states that all those who win a prize will receive the Samsun Galaxy S4. The site also stated that the handset will launch in April.

The smartphone was originally expected to be unveiled at this year's Mobile World Congress, however, those rumors were shot down.

YouMobile.org recently confirmed that the device will not make its debut at the event scheduled to take place in Barcelona next month. The site also stated that the Galaxy S4's codename will be SGH-I337. The global version of the handset is expected to be part of the GT-I950X model number family. Samsung has reportedly made the decision to release a full HD smartphone on AT&T, which will most likely be the Galaxy S4.

Samsung has really high hopes for the Galaxy S4 and was recently in the news for saying that its goal with the device is to sell 10 million units per month.

The company is also reportedly working on differentiating the Galaxy S4's display from competitors such as Sony and HTC, who have released devices with 1080p resolution.

The company is currently working to make the pixel density on the Galaxy S4's display higher than 440 ppi by experimenting with hexagonal and diamond shaped pixels. These types of pixels could help the company to surpass that 440 mark.

This enlargement of pixels is made possible by laser-induced thermal imaging. The technology allows a place for sub-pixels and is relatively cheap to use.

The company ran into some problems with the technology at first, but now has corrected the issues and is ready to implement it into its next flagship smartphone, according to YouMobile. Using the technology on the Galaxy S4 will make Samsung the first company to have it on a device.
