The event where the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be unveiled is now rumored to be taking place in Moscow.
A recent report by YouMobile.org states that the event's location is a highly guarded secret, but that there is a big possibility that it will be in Moscow. However, nothing has been confirmed by Samsung at this point in time.
One of the main indicators to the device's unveiling taking place in Moscow is Samsung's recent announcement to sponsor the Sochi Olympics. Last year, Samsung introduced the world to the wildly popular Galaxy S3 at an "Unpacked" mobile event in London.
The Galaxy S4 will not debut at this year's Mobile World Congress set to take place in Barcelona, Spain this month.
Samsung is expected to hold off any major announcements until after the event, a person familiar with its launch plans told YouMobile. Samsung will hold its own event to launch the Galaxy S4.
Some of the latest rumors point to the company unveiling the Galaxy S4 next month and releasing it in early-to-mid April. This would allow Samsung to have its flagship smartphone out a long time before Apple releases its next-generation iPhone. The April release date was also confirmed by a leaked raffle document released by PhoneArena last month.
Samsung has really high hopes for the Galaxy S4 and was recently in the news for saying that its goal with the device is to sell 10 million units per month.
The company is also reportedly working on differentiating the Galaxy S4's display from competitors such as Sony and HTC, who have released devices with 1080p resolution.
The company is currently working to make the pixel density on the Galaxy S4's display higher than 440 ppi by experimenting with hexagonal and diamond shaped pixels. These types of pixels could help the company to surpass that 440 mark.
This enlargement of pixels is made possible by laser-induced thermal imaging. The technology allows a place for sub-pixels and is relatively cheap to use.
