Samsung to Promote New Curved HDTVs Similar to UN65HU9000 HDTV at Upcoming CES

Samsung is reportedly planning to showcase more of its curved HDTV monitors at the upcoming International CES trade show to be held in Las Vegas from Jan. 6 to 8.

Reports have it that the South Korean company will have four different displays at the 2015 CES, showing off products designed for a "smart hotel," "smart restaurant," "smart signage" and "smart office." Each display will show off Samsung's HDTVs in various contexts, such as the signage displays which will show off the company's 2.7 meter by 1 meter display panels, and the restaurant display which will demonstrate the use of the monitors as a digital sign.

The new features of curved-screen monitors will be also be introduced to the crowd, with its 29- or 34-inch sizes and ultra wide 21:9 aspect ratio. It will also unveil the S'UHD, a new ultra HDTV.

Aside from the monitors, Samsung will also reportedly show off the inclusion of the Tizen app, which will be made available on all its smart TVs this year and might end up as competition for Google's Android TV app.
Samsung's upcoming curved HDTVs might end up being warmly received, especially given the reception of the Samsung UN65HU9000 curved HDTV released last year.

The 65-Inch curved LCD smart TV is considered ideal for home entertainment environments and home movie theaters with its glorious, luscious and appealing look. The curved screen helps reduce glare and gives movies and games a crisp and life-like appearance.

The two remote controls available were also commendable with one operating similar to a computer mouse and another for traditional uses such as volume control and displaying settings. There are also numerous apps available, such as Hulu, Vudu, Amazon Instant Video, Netflix, YouTube and more, as well as pay-TV services.

A review from CNET gave the monitor 3.5 stars of 5, calling the curved screen something of a gimmick, but complimenting the excellent picture and deep black levels, great viewing quality, accurate color and the monitor's futuristic look.

Accumulated reviews from Amazon gave the monitor 4.2 out of 5 stars, with consumers complimenting the quality of the picture and claiming that calibrating the settings of the monitor could lead to improved graphics for those experiencing problems with the monitor.
