NBC's "Today" host Savannah Guthrie announced her engagement this morning, surprising co-stars and fans alike. She is engaged to marry Michael Feldman, her boyfriend of four years.
"I got engaged over the weekend to my boyfriend … who I adore," Guthrie said on set. "We've been together for four years so, as he said, no one will accuse us of rushing into anything."
Co-stars Matt Lauer and Al Roker joked about the size of the ring and posted photos to their Twitter accounts.
"You could have seen it from across the street. It's a beauty," Lauer said.
Roker joked that Guthrie and Feldman should have their wedding on the "Today" show, Guthrie quickly nixed the idea.
"Get that out of your mind! Don't even think it. I'm really happy. We're really excited," she added.
"Today" show guest Bradley Cooper managed to surprise Guthrie with a bouquet of roses and offered his congrats to the newly engaged host. Other celebrities and fans have used social media to express their best wishes for the couple.
"Big announcement from Savannah Guthrie! Congrats sweetie!" tweeted Natalie Morales.
"Congrats to Savannah Guthrie and Mike Feldman on their engagement!" added Dan Abrams. "Two people I've really liked and respected for a long time."
Feldman is a veteran Al Gore adviser who currently works as the managing directo for the D.C. strategic communications firm Glover Park Group. He proposed while the couple was enjoying a holiday in Turks and Caicos, The Washington Post reported.
"He's the best person. He knows me inside and out, and we just adore each other. Our mothers are like, 'Hallelujah!'" Guthrie joked.

Guthrie was married once before to BBC News anchor Mark Orchard. The two married in 2005 but divorced in 2009. She then met Feldman, and the two have been together ever since.
