'Scandal' Season 4 Spoilers, News: Liv Goes to the Highest Bidder, OPA Seek an Old Pal's Aid

The action and suspense on the hit political drama series "Scandal" are getting more intense as it moves forward for the second-half of its fourth Season.

Last week's showing showed Pope (Kerry Washington) successfully convinced Ian (Jason Butler Harner) to auction her to the highest bidder. This move would eventually help Jake (Scott Folley) and OPA's Huck (Guillermo Diaz) and Quinn (Katie Lowes) determine her whereabouts. But will Pope's idea really work and what fate awaits her when the highest price was laid on the table?

Fans may already know that auctioning Pope means handing out to the winner the power to take control of Fitz (Tony Goldwyn), who is apparently the leader of today's most powerful country.

However, a report from TV Guide indicated that in episode 12 titled "Full Circle" Pope can only temporarily outsmart her captor. This suggests that at any moment Ian may realize what her real intentions are and that he may worsen the overall situation.

The synopsis posted on The Futon Critic also pointed out that Jake, Huck and Quinn might turn to an "old friend for help."

This person from the past was strongly believed to be Maya (Khandi Alexander) who was actually shown in the recently released promo video of the upcoming episode.

"This should be good," the character said.

But EcumenicalNews.com assumed that it can't be Mama Pope as "she can hardly be considered an old pal."

Regardless of what this "blast from the past" could really point out to, fans will certainly find out about the truth when "Scandal" Season 4 Episode 12 airs this Thursday, Feb. 12 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
