'Scandal' Season 4 Recap, Spoilers: What Will Happen in 'An Innocent Man?'

The previous episode of the hit political thriller TV series "Scandal" Season 4 revealed President Fitz Thomas Grant III (Tony Goldwyn) beating up Jake (Scott Foley). He wanted the latter to confess about the death of his son, Jerry.

However, speculations suggested that there might be more reasons to the beating. It seems like Fitz wanted to tell Jake that sleeping with Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) was entirely a bad idea.

Olivia was told by Cyrus (Jeff Perry) about Jake's situation. She then asked her father about his involvement but Rowan blamed her for it.

Meanwhile, Huck (Guillermo Diaz) continued to check on his family. However, his estranged wife, Kim (Jasika Nicole) forbids him from seeing their son.

In the next episode entitled "An Innocent Man," Jake is still being held up in an undisclosed interrogation room.

A recently-released sneak peek revealed that Jake's situation has been seriously affecting Liv that she is now having nightmares. This is where Abby (Darby Stanchfield), her former friend and employee, came in to intervene.

Abby, who is currently the White House Press Secretary, decided to take matters into her hands and, even if it's her job on the line, she approached Fitz in the Oval Office to ask about Jake.

"I need to talk to you about Jake Ballard," the red-headed woman asked the Commander in Chief.

"I asked because your knuckles are awfully bruised," she went on to pressure Fitz.

"You just thought you'd come to ask the Commander in Chief about--" Fitz replied but was interrupted abruptly.

"I'm not asking the Commander-in-Chief" Abby firmly said. "I'm asking the married man who used to sleep with my friend what exactly he has done with the man she is currently sleeping with."

"Scandal" Season 4, Episode 6 "An Innocent Man" airs this Thursday, Oct. 30, at 9 p.m. on ABC.
