Scotty McCreery snagged his first CMT Music Award for Breakthrough Music Video of the Year on Wednesday night, and immediately took a flight home for his high school graduation Thursday morning. It has been a busy and blessed year for this young country crooner.

After taking home the title as the "America Idol" of Season 10 last year, McCreery stepped back into a normal life as a high school kid who plays baseball at Garner Magnet High School in Raleigh, NC. June 7 marks that special milestone for him as he says goodbye to the teenage years and looks on towards college and a growing musical career.

"I've enjoyed these last 4 years…wouldn't trade any of them for the world #iamatrojan," tweeted McCreety.

McCreery is not considering to move away from home yet.
