'Scream' Season 2 Finale: Emma and Audrey Come Face-to-Face with the Killer; Will the Killer Turn Out to Be Eli?
The killer will be unmasked in the "Scream" Season 2 finale! And all clues point to Eli.
In the Season 2 finale of "Scream", it appears that Emma and Audrey are being framed for murder. They have to figure out what to do and fast! The official synopsis for the episode, titled "When a Stranger Calls", has just been released and it reveals that the two friends will be making a daring move. Meanwhile, the promo video shows them coming face-to-face with the killer.
Previously on "Scream"
In the penultimate episode of the season "Heavenly Creatures", Emma and Audrey were last seen being carted away by the police. It appeared that the killer completely outsmarted them. A secret video footage and Emma's dream journal were used by the Brandon James killer to frame them. The two girls will certainly not go down without a fight!

Eli, the Killer?
Also in the episode, Emma discovers an important clue that points to Eli as the killer. Three details support this assumption. First, Emma and her friends grow suspicious when they find an old newspaper clipping of Eli at the background of a funeral. They wonder what he was doing there.
Then, Eli breaks into the home of Mayor Maddox wearing a black hoodie, which is similar to what the killer wears. He enters the mayor's house because Maddox bribes Eli's mom to skip town.
Eli is left with no choice but to deal with Maddox himself. He leaves the man a note that said the mayor is so "screwed". Eli looks guiltier than ever when Maddox is found skewered with a pitchfork in the barn at the end of the episode.
The last clue hinting that Eli is indeed the killer is when Emma, Audrey and Kieran find the original letters that Audrey wrote to Piper while in Eli's bedroom. The pieces of evidence against Eli are really incriminating, but do they point to the actual killer?
The Season Finale
In the promo video, the stalker of Emma and Audrey threatens that he will gut somebody they love if they turn themselves in to the police or get caught. Emma decides that there are already enough deaths in Lakewood and does not want another. Emma yells at the killer that she is done running and if he wants Emma, he has to get her.
The synopsis promises that "Scream" Season 2 finale will unmask Piper's final surprise. Meanwhile, Kieran will be facing off with his twisted cousin while Noah asks Sheriff Acosta to dig deeper into Eli's connection to Piper.
The "Scream" Season 2 finale will be on Tuesday, August 16, on MTV.
