Seattle Seahawks' Richard Sherman Laughs at the Idea of Getting Traded

Last week, former National Football League (NFL) executive Mike Lombardi surprised a lot of fans by claiming that the Seattle Seahawks were willing to move their Pro-Bowler Richard Sherman for the right price.

A lot of Seahawks fans were probably confused after they heard Lombardi say their top cornerback was becoming trade bait, but Sherman thought it was quite amusing.

"I just laugh it off, man. It's funny to me. But sometimes people need to see you gone to realize what you had. The grass isn't always greener on the other side. But I don't let things like that bother me. The chips will fall how they're supposed to," Sherman said during an appearance on ESPN's "First Take."

The Seahawks could really move Sherman if they want to. His contract is quite reasonable, but why would they even consider trading away one of their franchise cornerstones? Is it because of his behavior and antics?

Sherman did have several heated confrontations with teammates and coaches last season. He went after the team's defensive coordinator, Kris Richard, during a game against the Atlanta Falcons last October and his teammates had to restrain him. He also screamed at offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell in a game against the Los Angeles Rams last December because he didn't want the team to pass from the one-yard line again.

Well, Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin also had some interesting things to say during an appearance on 710 ESPN Seattle's "Brock and Salk."

"I say that Sherm's greatest asset can also be his greatest weakness. He's very smart. And sometimes he thinks he's smarter than he is," Baldwin stated during the interview. "But that pride is the same thing that's propelled him to be the greatest corner in our game today," he added.

Sherman will always let his emotions fly every time, so they may as well get used to it if they want to keep him.
