Selena Gomez News: 'Fetish' Singer Encourages Sister to be Fearless

Selena Gomez has recently posted an Instagram video showing how she is a big sister.

In the said Instagram video, Gomez is seen encouraging her 4-year-old little sister Gracie as she says, "I'm not scared," presumably because of the dog that was brought to her presence.

"Cause you are fearless, right? You're not scared of anything, right?" Gomez said in response to Gracie as she affirms her younger sister's declaration.

As a caption to the said video, Gomez said that she will forever instill in Gracie that she is strong, bold, and beautiful and that she matters so that she can be a source of inspiration to others for who she really is.

"I will forever let my sister know she is strong, bold and beautiful. She will be raised to know her voice matters. She is going to understand the importance behind being a leader and inspire others by her truth," goes the caption of Gomez for the said Instagram video.

Gracie is Gomez's half-sister as they share the same mother, Mandy. The father of the "Fetish" singer is Ricardo Joel Gomez, whom her mother was married to for five years while Gracie's father is Brian Teefey, who married Mandy in 2006.

When Gracie was born in 2013, Gomez told E!News that just how much she adored her then five-month-old sibling and was obsessed with the idea of being a big sister. According to Gomez then, while she recognized her responsibility as a role model to young girls, being one to Gracie is just different.

While Gomez is pretty good at being a big sister to Gracie, it is apparent that she is still a kid at heart at times. According to reports, the singer was spotted along with boyfriend The Weeknd at Los Angeles' Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights as they enjoyed several rides last Friday evening, Oct. 13.

It was not the first time for Gomez and The Weeknd to spend a date at a theme park as the lovebirds were also spotted spending the night at Disneyland in Anaheim, California last August.
