Selena Gomez Reacts to Belieber's Who Hate Her

Selena Gomez spoke to a Baltimore radio station, Z104.3, to talk about the swarms of Justin Bieber "Beliebers" who hate her because she is dating the star.

"I mean, it's a little odd, but I understand it completely. That's amazing to me to see how many passionate fans there are. Obviously you just have to think of the fans first and that's okay," she said on the radio.

Gomez and Bieber have been through a lot together this year. Perhaps the biggest trial for the two young love birds was Mariah Yeater accusing Bieber of fathering her child.

The allegations proved to be false, but never the less they had to deal with the media storm surrounding them.

Recently Gomez had her own worries, her mother miscarried a baby.

Earlier in December, 19-year-old Gomez canceled two holiday-themed performances scheduled for back-to-back nights. The singer cited “family emergency” as the reason behind the cancellations, and E! News reported that Gomez’s mother Mandy Teefey had miscarried.

The Daily Mail reported that Bieber was in Los Angeles visiting Gomez and her mother in the hospital.

Gomez learned of the family emergency while attending Power 106’s Cali Christmas 2011 concert in Los Angeles.

News about Gomez’s family expecting a baby broke just over one month ago after the singer took to Twitter writing: “Momma and Brian are finally letting me share the news…. My moms carrying my baby brother or sister I’m the happiest girl in the world!”

Gomez also added a black and white photo of her mother and stepfather in an “expectant” pose, with Brian’s hand gently placed on Mandy’s stomach.

The singer and actress expressed gratitude for the fans that were supportive during her mother’s recent miscarriage.

“Belated Merry Christmas everybody…I can’t thank you enough for all of your thoughts and prayers,” Gomez wrote the day after Christmas. “We appreciate every one of you…I love you all so much and we hope you and your family had a beautiful Christmas!”

In the signature of the note, Gomez wrote, “Love, Me, Momma, Brian and our guardian angel Scarlett.”
