'Shades of Blue' Season 2 Episode 5: Harlee Gets Framed for Murder
Cleaning up mess is a tough thing to do, as it is impossible to accomplish without getting one's hands dirty, and most of the time the filth splashes back. This is exactly what happens to Harlee (Jennifer Lopez) as "Shades of Blue" season 2 episode 5 puts her in a sticky situation.
In the latest promotional clip for the series, a teenager was shot in the head by an unknown suspect. When Harlee and Wozniak (Ray Liotta) try to investigate the scene further for more clues, Harlee discovers a horrific angle — the gun used to kill the girl was hers, which makes her the probable killer.
Obviously, Harlee couldn't be the person who shot the girl, considering she works for the law. What it does give as a probable cause is the Mafia that she tries to hunt down, and they are getting back at her by tarnishing her name, making her less trustworthy.

She's not the only one who struggles to keep her name clean. The synopsis for the upcoming episode states that Wozniak is also under a lot of pressure as well as the past continues to haunt him and the team, breaking everyone's credibility apart. They will need to act fast and unravel the mysteries as to who's behind all this.
It can be recalled in the previous episode that his motivations were somehow revealed after showing why he's loyal to Julia Ayres, a politician who has been rumored to have active businesses with the Mafia. It appears he may have more skeletons in the closet, and it is hurting everyone in the process.
If there is anything that fans can expect in the upcoming episodes, it is that as everyone goes deeper into the labyrinth of crime, parties are sure to strike back at them. They need to be swift while protecting their own.
