Sims 4 Vampire Game Pack Tips and Tricks: What Beginners Need to Know

Maxis and Electronic Arts (EA) have found a way to compensate for the lack of portation of "Sims 4" to other consoles by rolling out additional content here and there. The latest one, dubbed "Vampire," has officially arrived and with fans eager to get a head start on the feature, here are some tips and tricks to make the best out of the new downloadable content (DLC).

In "Vampire," players will be able to create Draculas with varying power sets and weaknesses who could roam around their very own residential space called the Forgotten Hollow, which is made up of five lots that should be enough for the creatures to roam around.

Since the game pack protagonist — one's very own vampire —  is still different from the usual Sim, players would have to find nourishment through plasma, although not necessarily from that of the other Sims. Instead, Plasma Fruit or liquid Plasma Packs, which can be ordered online, are available and easier to get. For those, however, who are not wealthy enough to spend money on these commodities, planting a Plasma Fruit Tree on one's lot and harvesting it can ensure regular supply of sustenance.

As vampires generally do not like sunlight, these ones from the "Sims 4" have a bit more tolerance to it. One's creature does not really die in the sunlight unless the Vampire Energy meter is already low to begin with. Unfortunately, even if the gauge is still more than enough, it depletes really fast which makes it highly advisable to plan activities by nighttime so as to not risk severe sunlight exposure.

Lastly, these tips personally came from "Sims" game producer Dave Miotke. He revealed the Vampire's five primary needs, which he posted on the title's official forum site. The list includes Thirst, Hygiene, Social, Fun and Energy for a balanced lifestyle and successful gameplay. Furthermore, in a separate community post, he also revealed more details about how power points and rank systems are tabulated and implemented, to the delight of gamers. For example, engaging in Vampire activities automatically earns a player extra Vampire Experience (VXP) and Power Points, which in turn is used to unlock Power tiers for more choices.
