'Sleepy Hollow' Season 4 News, Spoilers, Cast Updates: Crane's Frenemy 'Headless Horseman' Will Return to Season 4
Fox's supernatural series "Sleepy Hollow" will essentially be doing a reboot for Season 4, following the exits of several key characters. This includes Nicole Beharie, who plays leading lady Abbie Mills, who was killed off during the Seaosn 3 finale. But Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) still has more missions ahead of him, this time in Washington D.C., as he embarks on a journey to find the Second Foretold Witness on "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4.
His transfer to Washington means new faces and new baddies to deal with. But it looks like a familiar rogue comes to town with him, as the Headless Horseman (Neil Jackson) is set to return on "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4. But will he make allies with the good guys again, or will he cause chaos once more?

"Sleepy Hollow" first saw to the Headless Horseman in Season 1, where he set about looking for his head so he can summon the Three Horsemen to bring about the End of Days. Originally named Abraham von Brunt, he was a good man during his life, but had turned when the love of his life, Katrina, had chosen Ichabod Crane.
He later on became a Horseman of the Apocalypse, though his deep love for Katrina often reveals his vulnerability to the good side. This was demonstrated during "Sleepy Hollow" Season 3's finale, when he was summoned by Ichabod to defeat Pandora and promising to return his head back to him. The Headless Horseman agreed and managed to defeat Pandora, but not without his head getting sucked into the Box.
What to expect in 'Sleepy Hollow' Season 4
Like before, it's not certain whether the Headless Horseman is a baddie in "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4. That role is primarily slated for Malcolm Dreyfuss (Jeremy Davies), who's described as an eccentric tech billionaire seeking to explore and conquer other worlds. But by the looks of it, Dreyfuss will want to enlist the help of the Headless Horseman during his conquests in "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4. Will the Headless Horseman's anger toward Ichabod Crane win over the impulse to be a good guy for his dead love?
Ichabod Crane himself has found a new love interest in Diane (Janina Gavankar), who will become his new partner during "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4. An Indian-American single mother, she's initially skeptical of the supernatural world, but later on becomes Crane's strongest ally. We can expect the Headless Horseman to eventually run into this formidable duo soon.
"Sleepy Hollow" Season 4 will return to Fox in early 2017.
