Sofia Vergara has reportedly been forced to cancel her Oscars plans following reports that the actress has been hospitalized.

Vergara, 40, is yet to confirm the nature of her condition although its is understood that she will undergo surgery. The "Modern Family" star reportedly canceled an appearance at Madonna's Oscars party and she is not expected to attend The 85th Academy Awards in Hollywood on Sunday night, according to the Daily Mail.

"Sofia is fine and there is nothing to worry about," a source told the Daily Mail.

The actress was photographed during a Friday night outing with her fiance Nick Loeb at the famous BOA Steakhouse in West Hollywood. The couple, who made headlines in January following a nightclub brawl, appeared to be in good spirits with Vergara as usual flashing smiles for cameras.

In 2000 the single mom was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer and although she was able to make a full recovery, she admitted that her battle was far from easy.

"Having cancer is not fun," Vergara previously told Health.com. "A little cancer remained after surgery, so I had iodine radiation. It's not that bad. But you can't see anybody for a few days. You're radioactive."

Vergara now takes a Synthroid pill daily and aside from making lifestyle changes to improve her health she opened up about how overcoming cancer has impacted her life.

"When you go through something like this, it's hard, but you learn a lot from it," she said. "Your priorities change. You don't sweat the small stuff. And it had a good ending."

Vergara and Loeb got engaged in 2012 and while the couple is yet to set a date they have already discussed reception details.

"[Nick and I want] more like of a party [with] music, dancing, a lot of food; not really sitting there hours and giving speeches," Vergara told People magazine.
