Back to their house, the girls were awoken with the sound downstairs. Laurie told her roommate to call authorities and partners Beth and Jack (Jack Larsen) arrived at the scene.

The TAU duo investigated further and found out that the house was once inhabited by a couple who hanged themselves in the basement after some marital issues.

However, further investigations pointed out that the husband, named Greg Miner, didn't really killed himself, instead, he was simply sent to an asylum.

Events escalated finding Atwood dead in the basement and Laure being held captive by Greg. Turns out, Greg was obsessed with the house and felt like people living there was a threat to the memories of his wife.

In the next episode titled "Love is a Battlefield," the TAU team is once again called for their expertise when a series of "alarming occurrences befall a wealthy philanthropist," the official synopsis read.

"The TAU investigates her beleaguered ex-husband and his much younger girlfriend," the summary continues.

"Meanwhile, Amanda (Elisabeth Rohm) threatens to reveal Jack's dark past," as he tried to "stalk" around his son.

'Stalker' airs every Wednesdays, at 10 p.m. on CBS.
