American actor Chris Pine will be portraying the role as Capt. James T. Kirk for the second time. For him, having to play this role, he cannot screw it up. Pine also noted that there is a lot to look forward to in the film. According to him, the film has a lot of Greek themes about life and about ones mortality. He concluded that ''Star Trek is about a bunch of disparate people and what they're capable of when they work together.''

Karl Urban also returns in the film. Urban has ended his contract on "Star Trek into Darkness" but he decided to get the role back again for "Star Trek Beyond." Urban is Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy.

In a recent chat with IGN, Urban talks about how it has been nice to be part of the film and have Justin Lin as the director. He noted that one of the reasons he got the role back is because it is Justin who is directing. Having a really hectic schedule, he had to speak with Justin about the role and in the end he actually got it.

Zachary Quinto is Spock in the latest "Star Trek" franchise. Quinto spoke with Entertainment Weekly and talked about his character in the film. He noted that Spock will be going through an "existential moment" and that Spock will be confused on his obligation to his Starfleet and his Vulcan roots.

When Can We Expect The Film?
