'Star Wars Battlefront 2': Star Wars Celebration Presentation to Show Off Single-Player Mode

Fans are getting their first look at the highly anticipated EA DICE game, "Star Wars Battlefront 2" next month if the latest reports are any indication.

According to Jordan Maison of Cinelinx, a portion of the much-awaited Star Wars Celebration event will be dedicated to the sequel.

This does not come a shock since the official website of the convention promises to offer "an opportunity to hear what's new on the Star Wars gaming front from Electronic Arts."

Jeremy Conrad of Furious Fanboys, however, provided additional information. He said that the focus of the presentation will be the single-player mode of the game.

"Star Wars Battlefront," while successful, was also criticized for its lack of a campaign mode, making it feel incomplete. EA DICE is looking to rectify that in the second installment of the shooter.

Based on what Conrad said, the studio will have a lot to showcase when it comes to the single-player mode of "Star Wars Battlefront 2" as the presentation will be devoted there.

As for the multiplayer aspect of the sequel, Conrad said that EA DICE has it saved for the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) this June instead.

EA DICE has big plans for "Star Wars Battlefront 2." EA CEO Andrew Wilson promised via Eurogamer that the game will be "even bigger" than the 2015 installment.

"Star Wars Battlefront 2" will feature more locations and will give gamers a chance to play with more heroes and characters "across multiple Star Wars eras."

EA CFO Blake Jorgensen said via GameSpot at the Morgan Stanley Technology that they will make the most of the richness of the "Star Wars" universe in the second "Battlefront" game.

"The Star Wars universe is just unbelievable to build games in because it's so vast," Jorgensen gushed about the franchise.

"Star Wars Battlefront 2" will be released later this year. The Star Wars Celebration will be held April 13 to 16. The "Star Wars" game by Visceral Games will reportedly be presented at the event as well.
