Star Wars: Battlefront 3 News: Game to Be Inspired by Original 'Star Wars' Trilogy

Fans of the Star Wars games and movies have been waiting for a glimpse of Star Wars: Battlefront 3, and now, EA and DICE have finally given a few spoilers of what can be expected of the game.

According to Moviepilot, the game is in full production and developers are currently testing the game and sharing impressions of Battlefront 3 online. One developer reportedly said that the famous Mos Eisley Cantina will be featured in the game. Another said that he had fun "playing around in the snow," which means that the icy planet Hoth from "The Empire Strikes Back" will also be featured in the game. It was also announced at EA's E3 2014 conference that the moon Endor would be one of the playable maps in the game.

The game will not be set in the new "Star Wars" universe, but will reportedly draw inspiration from the original "Star Wars" trilogy. A Lucasfim representative confirmed to Gamespot that future game releases will be canonical.
