'Star Wars Episode 7' Spoilers: Features Princess Leia, Han Solo Children

The wait is on for fans of the "Star Wars" movies as latest installment in the movie franchise is still a year away from being released. But since the movie has been announced, tons of spoilers have started flooding the Internet, which range from the highly plausible to the wildly improbable.

However, when new additions to the cast were announced, some spoilers seem to make sense, in particular those that say that Princess Leia and Han Solo's children will be playing the leads this time, along with Lando Calrissian's offspring.

Leia could be made leader of the Republic after her predecessor's death, according to Moviepilot's predictions. In this version of events, Han would be a retired veteran of the Republic fleet. Luke Skywalker hasn't been seen in nearly 30 years.

It is being speculated that Leia and Han have two kids, and moreover, they are twins. The names are reportedly Jaina and Jacen, and will be played by Daisy Ridley and Oscar Isaacs. These two characters could be heading off to complete a mission, together with Calrissian's offspring who could either be a boy or a girl. It is said that in EU canon, Lando has a son named Chance but he is much younger than Jaina and Jacen.

If Episode 7 will veer away from canon, then Calrissian could have a daughter, possibly played by Lupita Nyong'o, who was officially announced to be part of the cast.

Luke Skywalker has no known offspring, and if he has been missing for 30 years, then the Solo children certainly won't be learning the Jedi arts from their uncle.

So how will all of these come together? There is a possibility that the Solo children, Calrissian's child, and another Stormtrooper will band together to go on a mission to find Luke because of some evil forces that could only be defeated by a Jedi master. If 30 years has elapsed since Luke was seen, then he could already be a Jedi master, as it takes a long time to achieve that distinction.

Of course, this story is still unconfirmed, and because the movie is still shrouded in secrecy, one can expect more possible plot details to follow in the coming months.

"Star Wars Episode 7" will premiere on Dec. 16, 2015.
