Steve Harvey is a comedian, radio host, television host and author among many things and now he is the creator of a new online dating website called Delightful.com.

Harvey, 57, will cater his website to the dating needs of women after writing a successful book-turned-movie called, Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man. He spoke to Forbes about the inspiration behind the website.

"Women are wired differently," Harvey told Forbes. "The one thing I know about women is women don't really want to just date. They want to date with the hope that it leads to a relationship."

While Harvey will offer six month membership for $18, he will also provide a free service to those who want to browse profiles and view his dating advice in the form of tips and videos. Harvey says he learned to navigate the dating world through past mistakes.

"I've come to learn in life that failure is a wonderful teacher," Harvey said. "I've scooped a lot of the poop off the sidewalk so you wouldn't have to deal with it."

He previously spoke about the importance of men finding the right women in their life.

"Every great man has a woman ... I didn't say successful man, I said great man. Greatness is when you're the husband and father you're supposed to be," Harvey revealed to ESSENCE magazine earlier this year. "When everyone surrounding you looks up to you, depends on you, and you come through for them. That's greatness."

Harvey, a Christian, has spoken publicly about his faith and how God has used him to impact people in a positive way. Although he began his career as a comedian, Harvey headlined his very last stand-up comedy show with tears while giving glory to God in 2012 at the the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

"Somebody tweeted me and said, 'Your career is what you paid for, your calling is what you're made for.' God has positioned me just this way to be just like I am, to say what I say how I say it," Harvey told his audience in a final goodbye. "I'm just a living witness that you can be an imperfect soldier and still be in the army fighting for God Almighty. Don't you think you got to be perfect 'cause I ain't."
