'Stolen Sperm Lawsuit' Commenced as Man Claims Ex Stole His Sperm

A man has commenced a “stolen sperm lawsuit,” after claiming a fertility clinic used his “stolen” sperm to get help get his girlfriend pregnant.

The man, Joe Pressil, has claimed that his girlfriend became pregnant with twins after visiting the clinic, and that he had no idea that she was undergoing IVF treatment.

The couple split up in 2007, and she gave birth to the twins almost a year later. She then commenced a paternity lawsuit against him, asking for child support payments.

He was confirmed as the father after a paternity test, but later discovered a receipt from a fertility clinic in Houston for his sperm donation.

He alleges that his girlfriend kept a condom they had used during sex to donate his sperm and then use it to get herself pregnant. He says that his girlfriend had always disposed of the condoms after sex.

Pressil claims that he has never stepped foot inside the fertility clinic and so there is no way he could have donated his sperm.

The lawsuit says: “Advanced Fertility told Pressil they obtained his sperm sample from a woman purporting to be his wife, even though Pressil was not married, and in 2007 performed in vitro fertilization which resulted in the birth of twins. Advanced Fertility impregnated the woman with Pressil's sperm without his knowledge, much less his consent.

“Advanced Fertility's website 'strongly encourages' both partners to take part in an initial consultation, though Pressil was never consulted. Pressil first discovered his children were born through in vitro fertilization in February of 2011.”

Attorneys for the girl says that the lawsuit is simply a scam so that he can avoid child support payments.
