Students On Spring Break Outreach To The City
Aside from its weeklong ''Big Break,'' Campus Crusade for Christ International (CCCi) will be hosting Urban Immersion 2005--a spring break opportunity to outreach to the inner city.
While mostly college students head down to Panama City, Florida to witness Christ to other college students as part of CCCi's ''Big Break,'' those participating in Urban Immersion will focus on youth living in the cities of Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, Minneapolis/St. Paul, and Milwaukee.
As with Big Break, Urban Immersion is a weeklong event with a focus on channeling college students' free Spring Break time for evangelism.
"Spring break is short - make the most of it. Why not impact a city? There are great needs in the city and there are many people who need to hear about the love of Christ," reads a statement on the Seize the Day web site.
Some of the projects students will engage include sharing the gospel with the homeless, tutoring children, counseling teenagers, and rebuilding homes.
Urban Immersion is part of Seize The Day, a ministry of CCCi.
