'Suicide Squad' Fanfare Increasing as Release Date in Aug. 2016 Approaches: The Movie Explained - Cast and Premiere Date; Jared Leto Plays the Villain (Joker)

With less than four weeks before the Suicide Squad's premiere, viewers are anticipating what the movie has to offer.

The Plot

The government has appointed these super-felons to perform high-risk black-ops missions in exchange for their commuted sentences. The team operates under the control of agent Amanda Waller (Viola Davis). Waller controls the villains with a remote explosive that can be detonated at anytime. The team is set to bring down an "enigmatic, insuperable entity" only to realize that they were set up to fail from the start.

Meet The Squad

The Suicide Squad is composed of famous super-felons who have been locked in Belle Reve prison. One of the members of the team is B-list Batman villain Floyd Lawton (Will Smith) – aka Deadshot, who is a sharpshooter and assassin-for-hire who never miss. Part of the Squad are Margot Robbie who plays Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney who is Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje who portays Killer Croc, Karen Fukuhara is Katana, Joel Kinnaman plays as Rick Flag, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Jay Hernandez portrays the role of El Diablo and Adam Beach is Slipknot.

The Joker

Furthermore, the most famous villain of all time is The Joker who is portrayed by Jared Leto. The Joker plays as an adversary to the Suicide Squad. Leto has intensified the character of the Joker in this movie. He has always been in character from start to finish.

Leto admits that the role has a different psychological effect that he is still dealing with and even admits that it has been painful. With the character that he is portraying, Leto has a different approach to the role, considering that The Joker is much older and a very successful businessman besides being a sociopath.

Batman is reported to have a cameo role in the film, which is worth the wait. Viewers have a lot to look forward to the new Squad in town.

Premiere Date

The Suicide Squad is directed by David Ayer and is set to be released on August 5, 2016.
