Super Bowl 2016 Halftime Show: Find Out All You Need to Know

The Super Bowl 2016 halftime show is one of the most-awaited parts of the grand sports event on Feb. 7, and rumor has it that Bruno Mars may join Coldplay and Beyonce in their performance.

The Denver Broncos are set to compete with the Carolina Panthers during the Super Bowl 50 at the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Sunday, according to Billboard. Aside from finding out which team will win in the match, Americans are excited to know what awaits them during the Super Bowl 2016 halftime show.

Lady Gaga will sing the U.S. National Anthem during the Super Bowl 50, the report adds.

Beyonce has been confirmed for her comeback to the next Super Bowl halftime show. The singer previously headed the 2013 Pepsi Super Bowl halftime show held in New Orleans with her Destiny's Child co-members Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland, AL.com reports.

In September last year, the publication reported that the National Football League has invited Bruno Mars to "curate" the Super Bowl 2016 halftime set. In a behind-the-scenes footage of a CBS show, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin hinted that Mars will indeed be part of their grand performance on Feb. 7. Although the singer himself has not confirmed the news, his name was reported to have been added to the bill.

"This may be Beyonce's footprint. I'd say she was here about four hours ago," said Martin in the clip. "Let's look for a Bruno one."

During last year's event, Katy Perry broke the record for the most-watched halftime show with a total of 118 million viewers. Bruno Mars, Madonna, Prince, Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones, and U2 had also headlined in previous halftime shows.

The game between the Broncos and the Panthers will be broadcast by CBS and will be available for live streaming on CBSSports.com. Since the event will begin at 5:30 p.m. CT (6:30 p.m. ET), the Super Bowl 2016 halftime show will most likely begin at around 7 p.m. CT (8 p.m. ET).
