Super Smash Bros 4 director Masahiro Sakurai released two new pics of the day this week that feature game characters Link and Samus engaged in various activities.

The first picture, which was released on Tuesday, features just Link running towards what looks like a spring with a spiked ball about to fall in front of him. See it here.

"This may look like a side-scrolling action game, but it's actually one of the stages," said Sakurai regarding the first picture.

The second pic of the day which was posted earlier today features Link using a weapon called the Gust Bellows on Samus. See it here.

"The Gust Bellows can blow opponents away with its powerful wind blasts," he said. "When someone drops it though, the gusts run wild! Out of the new items, more than a few will be from the Legend of Zelda series. We'll take the most interesting straightforward ones and reformulate them to match the Super Smash Bros. world."

The new prism tower stage for the 3DS version made an appearance in Super Smash Bros. 4 director Masahiro Sakurai's pic of the day series last week

He actually released two different pictures that show the level at two different angles.

"Here's the prism stage for the 3DS version! The battle begins on ground level right in front of the tower," said Sakurai with the first pic. "You'll have to climb the tower by securing footholds like these moving platforms."

This level may or may not end up appearing in the Wii U version. As for now, it is only confirmed for the 3DS.

Sakurai also posted up a new picture last Thursday that featured characters Mario Fox and Pit with Andross making a return as an Assist trophy.

The level featured in the picture is the Super Mario Galaxy Stage that has been seen in previous images released from the game. It also appears to be taken from the Wii U version.
