'Supergirl' Season 1 Episode 9 Spoilers: 'Supergirl' Will Return Just A Few Days After New Year

Most TV shows are all on a break for the winter, but "Supergirl" will only take a short two-week vacation, and will come back just a few days after the New Year. With the major cliff-hanger on its winter finale, fans wonder what will happen next once the show returns on Jan. 4.

Last Monday, "Supergirl" left viewer's jaw open with two major cliff-hangers, according to the Variety. The website said that the ever-perceptive Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) knew Kara's (Melissa Benoist) real identity as Supergirl all along, and that Cat has another son she abandoned named Adam. Fans are excited to see how Kara will react to what her boss has to say about her being National City's female superhero. Viewers are also anxious to see Kara's other potential love interest in the form of Cat Grant's 24-year-old son, Adam.

According to Carter Matt, some big revelations between Kara's Kryptonian family were also featured. Apparently, Alura (Laura Benanti), Kara's mom, used her daughter to capture her evil sister, Astra, and the latter felt betrayed by her niece. It will be interesting to see how the story will continue between the aunt and niece, since they were both close to each other when they were still in Krypton.
