"Supernatural" fans are anxiously anticipating the season 10 premiere since Dean Winchester was inhabited by a demon last season.
Although the series does not return to The CW until the fall, spoilers about the brand new season have already reached online readers. After the season nine finale saw Dean's fate hanging in the balance, fans are desperate to hear what will happen to the elder Winchester brother. According to spoilers this week, Dean's demonic personality will remain throughout the entire first half of season 10.
Furthermore, the devil inside of Dean will encounter an intense fling in his second episode back on "Supernatural," according to TVLine. The tryst will occur between Dean and a "tough but sympathetic" roadhouse waitress named Ann Marie.
As previously reported, the season 10 premiere is entitled "Soul Survivor." Moreover, news last week revealed a new character on "Supernatural" named Rowena. The brand new character is a tough but elegant woman who will stop at nothing to reclaim her power base, according to TVLine. However, The CW has not yet filled the role, which calls for an actress who has or can imitate a Scottish accent.
In other casting news, Misha Collins was hired as a season 10 regular as Castiel earlier this year. The actor quickly became a fan favorite on "Supernatural" despite the fans' loyalty to the Winchester brothers.
"At first, people were wary of anybody coming in that might take attention away from Sam and Dean, but [now] its like, 'All right, there's a little extra room,'" Collins said, according to AfterElton.com.
Mark Sheppard who portrays Crowley has been promoted to a series regular for season 10 as well. The demonic character first appeared on "Supernatural" during season five as the King of Crossroads. In light of Dean turning into a demon at the end of season nine, he will likely call on Crowley to help him.
Ahead of the "Supernatural" season 10 premiere on Oct. 7. The CW is airing a "Supernatural" retrospective to help fans revisit the past nine seasons on Oct. 6.
