'Supernatural' Season 11 News, Update: Show Boss Teases Another Problem That Sam and Dean Has to Face
Taking hints from what this recent TV scoop from TVLine's Michael Ausiello said, it appears that The Darkness won't be the only thing that the brothers in The CW's hit supernatural drama TV series, "Supernatural," has to face in its 11th season.
According to the report, the Winchester brothers, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) will also be forced to confront an enemy from the past when the show returns to the airwaves in the next few days.
As indicated by executive producer Jeremy Carver (via TVLine), the hunters will once again face the old, familiar, red-headed foe from the past season and fans may already know her to be Ruth Connell's Scottish witch character, Rowena.

Carver particularly told Ausiello that Rowena will still be a big problem for the siblings.
In fact, fans will get to see more of her "in the early parts of the season deciding what she wants to do with this newfound power." The EP added that viewers will also get to see "what kind of success she has with that."
"What makes her an enjoyable character is for all of her power, she's still ruled by a certain amount of hubris," Carver was quoted as saying (via TVLine).
For those who missed it, Season 10 finale saw Sam helping Rowena complete the spell that would enable her to remove the Mark of Cain in Dean. Events soon followed after and she ran off with her newfound powers as well as the Book of the Damned. However, she still managed to stick a demonized version of Castiel (Misha Collins) to take on her son, Crowley (Mark Sheppard).
It would be safe to say, as what the new Season 11 trailer suggested, that Crowley survived Castiel's attack and it looks like he will be working close with the bros in their effort to destroy the Darkness and deal with his mother, as well.
"Supernatural" Season 11 premieres Wednesday, October 7 at 9 p.m. on The CW.
