'Switched At Birth' Season 4 Premiere Date Announced, Upcoming Chapter to Tackle on an 'Unexpected Pregnancy'

Fans hankering for details about ABC Family's hit family/teen TV drama series "Switched At Birth," here's some news.

Enstars recently cited a report from The Wrap this week saying that the scripted program is set to air the premiere episode for its brand new fourth season this Monday of Aug. 24 at 8 p.m. ET.

The announcement was further echoed by series creator Lizzy Weiss who also took to her social media to share the news.

"The news is out. #SwitchedatBirth IS BACK AUGUST 24. Mark ya calendars! And the premiere is AWESOME. Trust me," Weiss' Twitter post reads.

According to Deadline, the fourth season of "Switched At Birth" will see Bay (Vanessa Marano) still dealing with the aftermath of her assault as well as her break-up with Emmett (Sean Berdy).

Daphne (Katie Leclerc) on the other hand, will be struggling to find the fine balance between her college and love life.

The Kennish family, meanwhile, will receive a shocking news about an unexpected pregnancy.

The question now is, who is this woman who got pregnant? Is it Bay or Daphne? If it's between them, will they decide to keep it or have it aborted instead? Better yet, will the show writers make it a miscarriage?

Enstars was quick to speculate by saying that the unexpected pregnancy issue could belong to Bay. The site points out to the character's recent involvement with Emmett. However, it has to be noted that Bay has once been taken advantage off at school. Could this also mean that she's carrying the fruit of that fateful night?

Find out when "Switched at Birth" Season 4 returns August 24 on ABC Family.
