Despite her successful stint on "Dancing With The Stars" coming to a screeching halt due to a diagnosis of blood clots in her lungs, singer-songwriter Tamar Braxton glorified God and thanked fans for their prayers after her release from the hospital.

Braxton, 38, was released from a hospital where she spent over one week after doctors found blood clots in both of her lungs. Week after week, "Dancing With the Stars" viewers kept voting for Braxton and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy to win Season 21 of the ABC dancing competition.

Her health scare, however, caused her to drop out of both the competition while ending her tour with R&B crooner KEM. Despite her circumstances that also forced her to take a break from her co-hosting duties on "The Real" talk show, Braxton still chose to count her blessings.

"Look at GOD!! #so blessed," she captioned an Instagram video where she sings about finally leaving the hospital. "Thank you all for your prayers. I [love] you all so much."

Braxton first took to Instagram to let her supporters know about her health issues, which resulted in her having to take a step away from her many jobs.

"With a Heavy heart I regret to inform you that my season of #dwts has to come to an end along with the rest of my tour dates with @musicbykem. After yesterday's final #dwts performance I went back to the hospital (after the doctors didn't want me to leave in the first place) only to find out that I don't have pneumonia but something way more serious and that is having several P.E.'s (blood clots in both sides of my lungs)," Braxton wrote.

"As you all know I will be the first to always encourage anyone to push through any obstacle that comes along one's way," she continued. "But in this case, my health is my current obstacle. And in TRUE #tamartian form I must go about this the exact same way as I would anything else."

The singer and songwriter went on to reveal the severity of her condition by writing, "I woke up to a mirror and saw myself this morning and that makes me the winner because that almost wasn't the case."

This is not the first time that Braxton has chosen to give God the glory when her circumstances were less than ideal. After debuting her fourth studio album Calling All Lovers last month, it did not top any Billboard charts.

While the past couple of years have brought Braxton a great deal of success, she handled her album's performance with grace, and chose to use the media attention to speak about her faith in Jesus.

"I'll take whatever you have for ME Jesus! It is good enough for me. ... YOU GOD is good enough for me ... and you make it that I'm GOOD enough for ME," the 38-year-old singer wrote on Instagram. "Cause only YOU know what the end result is!! Thank you so much God and #tamartianfriends I'm just Grateful this album came out (if u only knew).

Braxton's foundation of faith in God and her work could come from her upbringing in a household with pastor parents.

"Both of my parents at one time were pastors of their own churches and I learned a lot from that," she told Flaunt magazine during a 2013 interview. "But not until I was an adult did I understand it and know for myself."
It was this faith that helped Braxton further her career in music.?

She later told Ebony magazine: "I had to be really strong in my faith and I know if it wasn't for God, I would not be here."
