Tamar Braxton Reveals Why She and Vince Matured in Their Relationship

Tamar Braxton is revealing why she and her husband have a newfound respect for one another.

Braxton, the 37-year-old three-time Grammy nominated singer-songwriter, married her music executive husband in 2008. She has let the world into her arguments with her husband Vincent Herbert on "Tamar & Vince" and "Braxton Family Values," but the singer is letting the world know why the pair have recently matured as a couple.

"We have to get along or else we couldn't get anything done. The level of respect for each other has increased and also, we've grown up because of it," Braxton recently told Upscale Magazine."The maturity of the relationship has matured. I know I've matured. Now he's a father, I'm a mother. We don't have time for that."

Last year, Braxton gave birth to her first child with her husband and revealed how her six-year marriage began.

"We were really, really cool friends and then I found out that he had a girlfriend," Braxton previously revealed on the talk show Bethenny. "Then, I had to have him after that, and I got him."

While working with her famed sister Toni Braxton, Herbert slowly found ways to spend time with his current wife.

"He kinda stalked me since I was like 15. I would see him sporadically through life," Braxton told talk show host Bethenny Frankel. "He was really slick about it."

Last December, the singer took to Instagram on Christmas to showcase a diamond ring given to her by her husband. She captioned the image by letting the world know that she would fight for her marriage.

"I'll say yes!&yes!&YES Vincent Herbert a zillions years.....cause we will #STAY&FIGHT," Braxton wrote. "I'll LOVE you forever!!..man of my dreams!!! We're so true."

Braxton and Herbert had gave birth to their first child one year ago. She has been vocal about her new journey into motherhood.

"Motherhood is great. Logan is great. He's a great baby," Braxton said in a previous ABC radio show. "And he's nothing like his mother. He's not dramatic at all. He's very much like Vince -- very chill, relaxed, laid back."
