Tameka Foster Appeals Child Custody Ruling; Why Did Usher Raymond Win?

Tameka Foster, the mother who tragically lost her 11-year-old son after a jet-skiing accident in July, is reportedly planning an appeal after losing custody of her two sons to her ex-husband Usher Raymond on Friday. Critics continue questioning why exactly she lost.

Foster, 41, immediately took to social networking site Twitter after a judge awarded Usher primary custody of her two youngest children, Usher V, 4, and Naviyd Ely, 3, and new reports suggest that the stylist believes that the ruling may have been corrupt.

"A woman's loyalty is tested when her man has nothing... A mans loyalty is tested when he has everything!" Tameka tweeted.

"Don't fear the enemy that attacks you... Fear the fake friend that hugs you. There's not much worse," another tweet read.

"Money can buy many things... But in the end. Truth & goodness will prevail. I must continue to believe this. Stand firm," she wrote in another post.

Foster, who was reportedly baffled by Fulton County Superior Court Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane's ruling, recently discovered that Usher's attorney, Ivory Brown, and the law firm had a direct connection to the same presiding judge since 2008.

Brown's firm reportedly threw an election fundraiser for Judge Lane back in 2008 and Foster believes that this connection may have influenced the unexpected ruling, according to TMZ.com. The campaign contribution report shows that Brown's firm raised $1,278 for Judge Lane in March 2008.

During the custody battle, Foster, who was married to Usher for two years, argued that the singer was an absentee father who was constantly on the road and too absorbed in his career to care for their sons.

She also accused him of using drugs in front of the boys and on December 4, 2011 she demanded that the 33-year-old take a drug test, arguing that the children's safety was in jeopardy while in his care.

Usher countered that Foster, who almost lost her life while attempting to undergo cosmetic surgery in 2009, was inattentive and irresponsible with the children.

Foster, still retains some custodial rights to the kids, and is reportedly interviewing new attorneys for her appeal.
