Taylor Swift was caught making a strange face after seeing her friend Selena Gomez kiss Justin Bieber backstage at the Billboard music awards.
In a viral video posted on Billboard's online backstage video feed, Gomez, 20, is seen approaching Bieber, 19, before affectionately placing her hand around his neck and kissing him on the cheek. Swift, 23, walked by the pair embracing each other and stuck out her tongue while looking away in disgust.
Fans flocked to social networking site Twitter after the footage went viral and while some applauded Swift, others vented their outrage over the incident.
"So you feel disgust when you saw justin kissed selena? @taylorswift13 same as me feel disgust when I saw you kissed harry," one seemingly unimpressed Twitter user wrote.
"LOL! See Taylor Swift make that face at Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez? I love her! She's right to be worried for Selena coz he's a cheater!" another user tweeted.
"Hey Taylor swift next time you make a gross face at Justin and Selena I will fly to where you are and punch you," one irate user wrote.
The incident has fueled speculation amongst fans that Bieber and Gomez may be headed for a reconciliation.
On April 18, the former Disney star flew out to Norway for a romantic reunion with Bieber following reports of a split. The pop star posted a series of intimate photographs of him and Gomez in recent weeks, which fueled reconciliation reports.
"Selena and Justin are taking things slow. They want to make sure if they get back together, they can do it right," the source told HollywoodLife.com, adding that they "are still obsessed with each other."
In a recent interview with Kiss 108 radio station, Gomez was asked about her and Bieber's relationship status.
"So sometimes you may see a boy walking down the street and he says, 'Let's grab an ice cream,' you're available," the radio host asked Gomez, to which she replied, "Yep."
"By the way, that would be awesome if someone asked if I wanted ice cream because that would be cool," Gomez continued after reiterating that she is "completely available in every way."
