'Teen Wolf' News: Story Goes On Without Two Characters

With the loss of a couple characters in "Teen Wolf," fans are curious to see what the upcoming season will hold for the hit MTV series.

It was previously announced that Kira, played by Arden Cho, will no longer be part of the upcoming season. The news broke the hearts of many fans, as several were looking forward to the development of Kira and Scott's (Tyler Posey) relationship.

Aside from Scott's love interest, it was revealed that his best friend Stiles, played by Dylan O'Brien, will not be present as well in the upcoming season. Reports showed that O'Brien suggered some severe injuries after an incident while filming for the next installment of the "Maze Runner." O'Brien reportedly got run over by a vehicle during production, which pushed several of his projects back.

Though "Teen Wolf" was supposed to post poned production in order to make way for O'Brien's recovery, it was recently announced that "Teen Wolf" will have to continue without him. The loss of two characters had fans speculating that the new season will bring new or familiar characters back to the small screens. There are rumors that Colton Haynes, who played the role of Jackson Whittemore, could be returning to the series.

The executive producer of the series Jeff Davis spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the matter. He said, "It's not like we don't want to and he wouldn't do it. The last time we hadn't enough story, the twins [Charlie and Max Carver] were going to be used 12 episodes, Colton 12 episodes and Deucalion [Gideon Emery] 24. But Colton dropped out. He wasn't fine with it, because he could become a regular on 'Arrow. So we decided to have him gone, for a while."

However, he said that his return to the series could bring some challenges. he said, "Today, 'Teen Wolf' is way different, would he fit in? We don't know. But if we go on and on for more seasons, I can tell you, he'll be back for at least 10 episodes."

The season premiere of "Teen Wolf" is set to air on Tuesday, June 28, on MTV.
