'Teen Wolf' Season 5 Spoilers: New Villains, New Love and Returning Cast

According to Australia Network News, in a recent Q&A with Movie Pilot, "Teen Wolf" executive producer Jeff Davis revealed some details about the second half of Season 5 and it sounds like new villains and a possible new romance are in store for fans of the show. MTV's supernatural drama series "Teen Wolf" is currently on a midseason break and won't be returning until January.

Though he answered that he couldn't reveal too much, when asked about returning cast members, Davis admitted that he is trying to get two actors back. One of them has yet to confirm but the other has already opted out, though "his story would be pretty cool in season 6B and 7A."

When asked if he was referring to Jackson (Colton Haynes) or Derek (Tyler Hoechlin), Davis was evasive, saying that he's not at liberty to reveal the info and that it will be a surprise.

He did confirm that Derek will not be back for a cameo appearance in the second half of Season 5, though show executives are open to the possibility of Derek's return in Season 6 or 7.

The "Teen Wolf" boss also revealed that more villains are coming to Beacon Hills in Season 5B. These bad guys (and girl) include the Desert Wolf, the Beast, and the Dread Doctors. Davis said that he has great plans for introducing all these villains within the span of just 10 episodes. Previously, he told Entertainment Weekly that Theo's recently-revealed identity as a Chimera and ability to transform into a werewolf/werecoyote hybrid will make him a "very dangerous" character. Theo (Cody Christian) and the Desert Wolf (Marisol Nichols) will cross paths in the second half of Season 5.

Davis also spoke about the characters' relationships, telling EW that although both Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) and Malia (Shelley Hennig) will have to deal with their dark sides in Season 5B, a blossoming romance between the two is still possible. According to Davis, "the relationships are very much on our mind every day because we love romance at 'Teen Wolf' and it's always interesting when they break up, they get back together and seeing the different variations on that and creating these kind of tragic romances."

Last week, MTV released the official trailer for Season 5: Part 2 of the TV series.

The second half of "Teen Wolf" Season 5 will premiere on Jan. 5, 2016.
