According to PlayStation Universe, Tekken series producer Katsuhiro Harada has said that Namco Bandai has more new characters to announce for the upcoming seventh installment in the popular franchise. The website reports that when Harada was asked by a fan on Twitter if gamers are going to see more combatants announced for the game, Harada simply replied, "yep." To date, Namco has confirmed four new characters for Tekken 7: Lucky Chloe, Shaheen, Claudio, and Katarina.

Lucky Chloe is an otaku who wears a kitten-themed costume and who's fighting style is described as "Freestyle Dance." Claudio hails from Italy and his right hand can conjure mysterious light powers. The game will be powered by Epic's Unreal Engine 4. According to Gamespot, Harada was quoted as saying that, "with Unreal Engine 4, we can rapidly achieve visual quality expected on next-gen platforms and go beyond it. Not only is Unreal Engine 4 powerful and easy to use, it allows us to immediately bring Tekken 7 to any platform we desire."

Tekken 7 was announced during EVO 2014 on July 13, 2014. PSU claims that Tekken 7 is due out in arcades in Japan this month and is expected to hit PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime after. The game will reportedly focus on the end of the Mishima family feud.
