Teresa Giudice news: Daughter Gia enters high school, while husband Joe continues to neglect parental duties

Teresa Giudice has a few months left in jail. However, although she will soon be reunited with her family, it seems like she will be forced to miss out on one of the important events in her daughter Gia's life.

Teresa is a mother of four girls, with Gia being the eldest. Gia will be entering high school soon without the guidance of her mother, as she continues to serve what is left of her 15-month prison sentence. Although things seem negative now, Sheila Guidice, Teresa's sister, told Radar Online, "Everybody's doing good. They're all getting ready for school. Gia's already starting high school!"

Gia also expressed her excitement by tweeting recently, "Graduated. Here I come class of 2019!" The current situation may be difficult for the family; however, it hasn't stopped the girls from staying close to their mom as Daily Mail reports that Gia and her others sisters, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana, all visit their mom on the weekends in Connecticut, where she is being held at the Danbury Correctional Facility.

Sheila further shared the good news that her daughters and the rest of her family are looking forward to her early release and arrival at home, which is expected to be around December, just in time for the Christmas holidays. However, Teresa being set free does not mean the end of their difficult times, but may a start of new battle struggle, as Joe, Teresa's husband, will then start his 41-month prison sentence.

News, however, are circulating that Joe's remaining time of freedom is not being spent on his family as he has chosen to go MIA on his daughters. According to Enstarz, an insider told OK! Magazine, "Joe knows he's going to jail in a matter of months, so drowning his sorrows is more important to him than his daughters." This situation has pushed Gia to take on her the role her mother left in the meantime. The insider further adds, "[They] have no structure. Joe's in-laws aren't watching them, they have no one looking out for their best interests. Joe should be ashamed of himself for letting his wife and his family down yet again." This had led to accusations that Joe is an unfit father.

For now, the family continues to strive as a unit until Teresa's return to take care of the household she had temporarily left.
