'The Amazing Race' Premiere Spoilers, CBS Start Time: 25th Season to Premiere on Sept. 26

"The Amazing Race" is set to hit the starting line for its 25th season this coming Friday, Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. on CBS. The premiere episode to kick off the season is entitled "Go Big or Go Home."

"Season 25 begins with 11 teams in New York City's Times Square, where they learn that the duo who win the first leg of the race will receive 'The Save,' a game-changing element that allows them to rescue themselves if they finish last on a future leg and face elimination. Next, the teams fly to the U.S. Virgin Islands and participate in their first challenge," the synopsis reads.

One of the most noticeable game changers in the show is the networks initiative to let "Amazing Race" fans to witness the racers getting ready at the start line and see them run off. The public start off revealed that instead of the Express Pass, competing teams will be awarded with a new immunity, which they can use should they come in last place on an elimination leg before Leg 9.

Also pointed out by the network's website is that this season, the race will span over 26,000 miles throughout eight countries including first time visits in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Malta, as well as the Shetland Islands of Scotland.

Cast members of the globe-trotting competition includes several interesting personalities like professional surfer Bethany Hamilton – a shark attack survivor whose story was filmed in the movie "Soul Surfer" -- together with her husband Adam, also a pro-surfer.

Joining also are former "Survivor: South Pacific" contestants Whitney Duncan with partner Keith Tollefson. Other celebrities mentioned in the roster are TNA Wresting stars Brooke Adams and Robbie E.
