'The Amazing Race' Season 28 News: How Did Tyler Oakley Feel to Not Go Online While on the Show?

This season's cast of "The Amazing Race" stars some of the most popular names on the Internet, and among them are YouTube stars Tyler Oakley and his best friend, Korey Kuhl. Racing around the world means that the contestants would have to "disconnect" themselves from their online social media account, and Tyler dishes out on how it feels without the Internet.

During his interview with The Daily Dot, Tyler revealed that the experience on the show was really "eye-opening" for him. "I feel so recharged from that, and although it was one of the most challenging things, it let a certain part of my brain relax for a minute. That was really nice," the YouTube star said.

He also admitted that what he got from "The Amazing Race" was "life-changing" and "perspective-changing," especially when he returned to work from the race. "To come back and to get back into my work thoughts and remembering all the stressors I had from before the race, I was like, 'Why were those stressors? Why did some of those things matter?'" he said.

The social media star also admits that going on film in a race around the world is a very "high-pressure" situation to be in, and is not like anything else he has ever experienced before. He said that being on YouTube helped him prepare on being conscious on how the editing will go, which made him more aware of the cameras in front of him throughout the race.

Tyler and Korey are among the three teams that are rumored to be in the final 3 of "The Amazing Race" season 28, according to Reality Fan Forum. The reality show forum gathers their members' contributions about the sightings of this season's contestants, and creates a "time line" on which leg that a team is said to be eliminated. The other two teams that are speculated to make it to the final leg are the mother and son tandem, Sheri & Cole LaBrant, and dating couple, Dana Borriello & Matt Steffanina.

The new season of "The Amazing Race" will air this Feb. 12, Friday, on CBS.
