'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' News: Jamie Foxx Daughter Reacts to Electro

Jamie Foxx is starring as the villainous Electro from "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" and recently opened up about his 5-year-old daughter's reaction to the role.

Foxx described breaking the news to his daughter that he was going up against a well known superhero.

"I said Annalise come here, daddy's going to be in Spider-Man," Foxx told HipHollywood. "She said 'what are you going to do in Spider man,' I said well I'mma be the bad guy."

However, Foxx's daughter did not seem to have much faith in her father when he recalled her saying,"Oh Spider-man gonna kick your butt. (SIC)"

Foxx, the 46-year-old actor, comedian and musician, is almost unrecognizable as Electro with a silver and blue-tinted skin tone and an eye color to match. His costume consists of blue makeup and prosthetics, along with an LED-lined black wardrobe.

The actor's costume looks nothing like the green and yellow Electro that appeared in the 1964 Spider-Man comics. Foxx spoke about his character utilizing new technology to bring the villain to life in a new way.

"They want to have it more grounded and not as comic book-y, so it won't be green and yellow," he told BlackFilm.com last December. "They want to try new things, like a liquid rubber and things like that, and there are all these bolts and stuff in my arms when they are hanging me upside down and trying to figure out what happened. How did he become this way? So, it will be some new stuff."

Marc Webb, "The Amazing Spider-Man" sequel's director, spoke about Foxx's involvement in the film at a press conference last year.

"I think Jamie Foxx is electrifying! I think Jamie Foxx is one of the best actors around today," Webb said of Foxx when asked about the possibility of him appearing in the next Spider-Man film, according to ComingSoon.net. "He's such a great character actor and he's a really brilliant guy."

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is now in theaters, and stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone alongside Foxx.
