'The Banner Saga 3' News: Twitch Pledges Support to Game's Development With New Promotion

Twitch Prime has found a unique way to support Stoic in the development of the highly-anticipated Viking-themed tactical role-playing game, "The Banner Saga 3."

The company is giving Twitch Prime members the chance play "The Banner Saga 1" and "The Banner Saga 2" without shelling any cent. For every download, Twitch is going to donate $1 for the development of "The Banner Saga 3."

Twitch is willing to give a maximum of $200,000 towards the project, a contribution that will help Stoic make the game more amazing than it already appears.

Even without Twitch's donation, the Kickstarter campaign for "The Banner Saga 3" is already in a steady place, having gained more than $317,700 (passing its $200,000 goal) with 10 days to spare. With Twitch's help, Stoic is expected to accomplish more than what they had their eye on.

Twitch Prime members who help Twitch with the promotion will also receive exclusive content in "The Banner Saga 3." There is no word on what they will be though.

"The Banner Saga 3" invites fans to "steel your nerves, step forth into the approaching abyss," as per the Kickstarter page for the game. The official description reads:

"Cross the threshold from daylight without end into untold darkness. Warped lands within threaten your sanity, and a writhing wyrm tests your mettle. But here, in the darkness, is where secrets are brought to light and motives are made clear. Are your friends who they claim to be? They all look to you. What story will your banner tell?"

"The Banner Saga" franchise is loved for its exceptional structure. The battles are turn-based while throwing in chess-type strategy in the mix and a choose-your-own-adventure format. Add in the stylish cartoon design and the look, the games could not be more unique.

Stoic plans to release "The Banner Saga 3" in December 2018. With the support it received, fans can expect an excellent game that is worth the wait.
