'The Big Bang Theory' Season 10 Spoilers: Producer Hints Tension Between Penny and Mom in Next Season; Updates and Release Date Bared

"The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 producer Steve Molaro hints possible trouble in Penny's family in the new season. New trailer will be out soon.

It won't be too long when viewers of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 airs on CBS. Fans have been speculating for months as to what will happen to the gang, now that the plot for the latest season has been somehow revealed by the creators of the show. According to the show's producer Steve Molaro, Penny would feel some kind of tension between her and her mom.

Penny, played by Kaley Cuoco, will be visited by her problematic mom, played by Katey Sagal and her ex-convict brother Randall, portrayed by Jack McBrayer. Susan is there to visit her daughter because of her upcoming wedding.

Penny and Leonard eloped in Season 9 and this time, they are including their families in a formal wedding ceremony. Penny has not said much about her mother during the past season, while viewers have already met her dad, Wyatt, played by Keith Carradine.

Penny's closeness with her dad

Longtime viewers of "The Big Bang Theory" would agree that Penny is close to her dad. There was an episode where Penny ate her pride and asked Leonard to pretend that they were dating again. She did this so that she could present a worthy boyfriend to her dad.

Penny's father had always wanted a son and Penny knew of his feelings. This was why Penny dressed up like a boy and even took up sports. She wanted to please her dad badly.

Penny and her dad will also be caught in between her feuding mom and brother. Penny's brother, Randall, has been in jail countless times because of drugs. This has stressed her mother a lot.

Release of new promotional video

Steve Molaro also mentioned that the cast is currently filming episodes for next season. A promotional trailer will also be released soon featuring Penny, Leonard, and Sheldon. A glimpse of Penny's family will also be revealed.

The cast will still reprise their roles next season. There are rumors of new family arrangements, such as the possibility of Sheldon and Leonard being stepbrothers and Bernadette having her baby next season. Still, creators of the show have not confirmed these.

During the latest Comic-Con 2016 in San Diego, the cast and crew were also asked whether Season 10 was going to be the final season for "The Big Bang Theory". However, Molaro said that they are just taking it one great season at a time.

"The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 will premiere on September 19 on CBS.
