'The Big Bang Theory' Season 9 News, Spoilers: Kaley Cuoco on Baby; Mayim Bialik on Amy's Growth

Though fans of the long-running CBS sitcom may have been pleasantly surprised to learn about Bernadette's (Melissa Rauch) pregnancy, co-star Kaley Cuoco admits that she isn't exactly thrilled about the prospect of having a baby on the set of "The Big Bang Theory."

The big pregnancy bombshell was dropped back in February and the show's creators have since expressed their excitement about what was, they said, a last-minute addition to the Valentine's Day episode's storyline.

But while "Big Bang" fans can't wait for the addition of the new baby to the popular comedy's cast, Cuoco is somewhat hesitant.

When Entertainment Tonight asked the show's cast if they are excited about working with a baby or two on-set, Cuoco said, "No, I'm not."

After co-star Kunal Nayyar (Raj Koothrappali) suggested that the show could cast twins, the actress exclaimed, "Twins? Really?!"

"Oh wait, yeah, because they have to get multiples," she said, before coming up with a suggestion for delaying the arrival of potential child actors to the "Big Bang Theory" set.

"Maybe [Bernadette] can be pregnant for, like, three seasons so we can wait a couple of years, but we'll see," she teased.

Meanwhile, Mayim Bialik, who plays Amy Farrah Fowler in the series, recently chatted with Parade about how her character has evolved since joining the cast as a guest back in season 3.

Amy, and her on-screen boyfriend Sheldon Cooper, played by Jim Parsons, have made some major strides in their personal lives in the current season. The couple famously consummated their relationship in the season 9 episode "The Opening Night Excitation" back in December and are now on the brink of getting engaged.

"I think that the writers have been able to expand a lot more, explore all the different combinations of the relationships between Amy and all the other characters as we all interact with each other in new ways," Bialik said." Amy's become a lot more comfortable. I think the relationship with Sheldon has been really good for both of their characters."

"The Big Bang Theory" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
